## Primary Uses

Domperidone is an antiemetic and gastroprokinetic medication used to relieve nausea and vomiting while improving stomach motility. It is commonly prescribed for the following conditions:

* **Nausea and Vomiting:** Helps relieve nausea and vomiting by blocking dopamine receptors that trigger the vomiting reflex.
* **Gastrointestinal Disorders:** Reduces symptoms such as stomach fullness, upper abdominal bloating, discomfort, and indigestion caused by delayed gastric emptying.
* **Gastroparesis:** Promotes faster stomach emptying in patients with delayed gastric motility, including those with diabetes or gastritis.
* **Support During Parkinson’s Disease Treatment:** Helps prevent nausea and digestive discomfort caused by certain medications used to treat Parkinson’s disease.

## How to Take It

Domperidone should be taken **15 to 30 minutes before meals** for the best results. It usually starts working within **30 to 60 minutes** after administration. This medicine is generally prescribed for **short-term use**, typically for **up to one week**, unless otherwise directed by your physician.

## Side Effects
