EMKIT TABS (Levonorgestrel) CONTRACEPTIVE PILLS – Zafa Pharma
EMKIT Tablets contain Levonorgestrel 0.75 mg, a synthetic progestin used for emergency contraception following unprotected sexual intercourse or contraceptive failure. Levonorgestrel primarily works by delaying or preventing ovulation, thereby reducing the possibility of pregnancy. Emergency contraceptive pills do not terminate an established pregnancy and are not intended to be used as a regular contraceptive method.

How It Works
Levonorgestrel acts mainly by preventing or delaying ovulation. It is most effective when taken as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse.
Usage & Dosage
EMKIT contains 0.75 mg levonorgestrel per tablet and is supplied as a 2-tablet pack. The manufacturer’s product information states that the two tablets may be taken together for emergency contraception.
Common Side Effects

Precautions

- EMKIT does not protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
- If vomiting occurs shortly after taking the dose, medical advice should be sought regarding whether the dose needs to be repeated.
- Repeated emergency-contraceptive use can cause menstrual irregularities and a regular contraceptive method may be more appropriate.
Warnings
For emergency contraception only. It should not replace a regular contraceptive method. If the expected menstrual period is significantly delayed or pregnancy is suspected, a pregnancy test and medical consultation are recommended.
Pregnancy
Emergency contraceptive levonorgestrel is not intended for use during an established pregnancy and does not terminate an existing pregnancy.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from excessive heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Follow the storage conditions printed on the product packaging.

Flagyl is indicated in the prophylaxis and treatment of infections in which anaerobic bacteria have been identified or are suspected to be the cause.

9. Acute dental infections (e.g. acute pericoronitis and acute apical infections). Considerations should be given to official guidance on the appropriate use of antibacterial agents.
Flagyl Syrup (Metronidazole) – Sanofi
Metronidazole is an antibiotic that is used to treat a wide variety of infections. It works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria and parasites.
This antibiotic treats only certain bacterial and parasitic infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections.
Metronidazole may also be used with other medications to treat certain stomach/intestinal ulcers caused by a bacteria (H. pylori).

KENACOMB combines the potent corticosteroid triamcinolone acetonide with the antifungal antibiotic nystatin and the wide spectrum antibacterial activity of neomycin and gramicidin.
KENACOMB reduces inflammation, relieves pruritis and combats or prevents monilial and bacterial infections.
Pharmacokinetics
The extent of percutaneous absorption of topical corticosteroids is determined by many factors including the vehicle, the integrity of the epidermal barrier, and the use of occlusive dressings.
Topical corticosteroids can be absorbed from normal intact skin, inflammation and/or other disease processes in the skin increase percutaneous absorption.
Nystatin and gramicidin are not absorbed from intact skin or mucous membranes.
Neomycin can be absorbed through inflamed skin. Once absorbed, it is rapidly excreted unchanged through the kidneys. The half-life is approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Microbiology
Nystatin acts by binding to sterols in the cell membrane of susceptible species resulting in a change in membrane permeability and the subsequent leakage of intracellular components.
Nystatin exhibits no activity against bacteria, protozoa, or viruses.
Neomycin exerts its bacterial activity against a number of gram-negative organisms by inhibiting protein synthesis. It is not active against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and resistant strains of gram-negative bacteria may develop.
Gramicidin exerts its antibacterial activity against many gram-positive organisms by altering cell membrane permeability.
INDICATIONS
KENACOMB is indicated for use in corticosteroid responsive dermatoses complicated or threatened by secondary monilial and/or bacterial infections, such as:
Atopic dermatitis
Seborrhoeic dermatitis
Lichen simplex chronicus
Psoriasis (particularly of the face and body folds)
Allergic contact dermatitis
KENACOMB CREAM permits use in moist intertrigenous areas.
