Signs of an allergic reaction may include rash, itching, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing. ### Precautions Excessive absorption through large areas of damaged skin may increase the risk of nerve or kidney-related side effects. If extensive areas require treatment, your physician may monitor kidney function during therapy. ### Warning Prolonged or repeated use may encourage the growth of microorganisms that are not affected by this ointment, including fungi, which may lead to secondary infections.
