Sinemet 25 mg/250 mg Tablets ( Carbidopa Levodopa ) OBS
This combination medication is used to treat symptoms of Parkinson’s disease or Parkinson-like symptoms (such as shakiness, stiffness, difficulty moving). Parkinson’s disease is thought to be caused by too little of a naturally occurring substance (dopamine) in the brain. Levodopa changes into dopamine in the brain, helping to control movement. Carbidopa prevents the breakdown of levodopa in the bloodstream so more levodopa can enter the brain. Carbidopa can also reduce some of levodopa’s side effects such as nausea and vomiting.
How to use Sinemet 25-250 oral
Read the Instructions for Use if available from your pharmacist before you start taking carbidopa/levodopa and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually 3 to 4 times a day.
Taking this medication with food may help to decrease nausea. It is best to avoid a high-protein diet (it decreases the amount of levodopa that your body takes in) during treatment, unless directed otherwise by your doctor. Separate your dose of this medication by as many hours as possible from any iron supplements or products containing iron (such as multivitamins with minerals) you may take. Iron can reduce the amount of this medication absorbed by the body. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. To reduce your risk of side effects, your doctor may direct you to start this medication at a low dose and gradually increase your dose. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully. This combination medication comes in different strengths with different amounts of carbidopa and levodopa in each tablet. Be sure you have the correct strength of both drugs. Your doctor may also prescribe carbidopa alone to be taken with this combination.
Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day.
Some patients may experience a “wearing-off” (worsening of symptoms) before the next dose is due. An “on-off” effect might also occur, in which sudden short periods of stiffness occur. If these effects occur, contact your doctor for possible dose adjustments that may help to lessen this effect.
Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when this medication is suddenly stopped. Also, if you suddenly stop using this medication, you may have withdrawal symptoms (such as anxiety, depression, confusion, fever, muscle stiffness). To help prevent withdrawal, your doctor may lower your dose slowly. Withdrawal is more likely if you have used this medication for a long time or in high doses. Tell your doctor or pharmacist right away if you have withdrawal.
Tell your doctor if your condition does not improve or if it worsens.

Flagyl is indicated in the prophylaxis and treatment of infections in which anaerobic bacteria have been identified or are suspected to be the cause.

9. Acute dental infections (e.g. acute pericoronitis and acute apical infections). Considerations should be given to official guidance on the appropriate use of antibacterial agents.
Flagyl Syrup (Metronidazole) – Sanofi
Metronidazole is an antibiotic that is used to treat a wide variety of infections. It works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria and parasites.
This antibiotic treats only certain bacterial and parasitic infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections.
Metronidazole may also be used with other medications to treat certain stomach/intestinal ulcers caused by a bacteria (H. pylori).

KENACOMB combines the potent corticosteroid triamcinolone acetonide with the antifungal antibiotic nystatin and the wide spectrum antibacterial activity of neomycin and gramicidin.
KENACOMB reduces inflammation, relieves pruritis and combats or prevents monilial and bacterial infections.
Pharmacokinetics
The extent of percutaneous absorption of topical corticosteroids is determined by many factors including the vehicle, the integrity of the epidermal barrier, and the use of occlusive dressings.
Topical corticosteroids can be absorbed from normal intact skin, inflammation and/or other disease processes in the skin increase percutaneous absorption.
Nystatin and gramicidin are not absorbed from intact skin or mucous membranes.
Neomycin can be absorbed through inflamed skin. Once absorbed, it is rapidly excreted unchanged through the kidneys. The half-life is approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Microbiology
Nystatin acts by binding to sterols in the cell membrane of susceptible species resulting in a change in membrane permeability and the subsequent leakage of intracellular components.
Nystatin exhibits no activity against bacteria, protozoa, or viruses.
Neomycin exerts its bacterial activity against a number of gram-negative organisms by inhibiting protein synthesis. It is not active against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and resistant strains of gram-negative bacteria may develop.
Gramicidin exerts its antibacterial activity against many gram-positive organisms by altering cell membrane permeability.
INDICATIONS
KENACOMB is indicated for use in corticosteroid responsive dermatoses complicated or threatened by secondary monilial and/or bacterial infections, such as:
Atopic dermatitis
Seborrhoeic dermatitis
Lichen simplex chronicus
Psoriasis (particularly of the face and body folds)
Allergic contact dermatitis
KENACOMB CREAM permits use in moist intertrigenous areas.
