## **Usage & Safety** ### **Administration** * Instill **1–2 drops** into the affected eye(s), **2–4 times daily**, or as directed by your physician. * **Shake the bottle well** before each use to ensure proper suspension of the medication. --- ### **Duration of Use** Prednicol Eye Drops are intended for **short-term treatment**. Prolonged use, especially for **more than one week**, should only be undertaken under the supervision of an ophthalmologist, as extended use may increase the risk of ocular complications. --- ### **Precautions** * Do not discontinue the medication abruptly unless advised by your physician, as this may lead to a recurrence of inflammation. * Avoid wearing **contact lenses** during treatment unless your eye care professional instructs otherwise. * Store the product at **2°C–8°C (Refrigerated)**. **Do not freeze.** * Do not use the solution if the bottle is damaged or if the suspension appears contaminated or discolored. --- ## **Possible Side Effects** Prednicol Eye Drops are generally well tolerated; however, some patients may experience: ### **Common** * Temporary burning or stinging sensation * Mild eye irritation * Transient blurred vision immediately after instillation ### **Less Common** * Eye redness or discomfort * Increased sensitivity to light ### **Serious (Associated with Prolonged Use)** * Increased intraocular pressure (**glaucoma**) * Cataract formation * Delayed corneal or ocular wound healing * Increased susceptibility to secondary eye infections ### **Rare** * Chloramphenicol has been rarely associated with serious blood disorders, including **aplastic anemia**.
