Finerenone is primarily indicated for adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) associated with type 2 diabetes. It is used to:

Decrease the risk of cardiovascular events such as non-fatal myocardial infarction and hospitalization for heart failure.
Dosage:
The initial recommended dose of Finerenone is 10 mg or 20 mg once daily, based on the patient’s kidney function (eGFR).
If the eGFR is ≥60 mL/min/1.73 m², start with 20 mg once daily.
If the eGFR is between 25-60 mL/min/1.73 m², start with 10 mg once daily.
The dose can be adjusted based on the patient’s potassium levels and kidney function during treatment.

Contra Indications
Finerenone is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug, severe hyperkalemia (potassium levels > 5.5 mEq/L), and severe renal impairment (eGFR < 25 mL/min/1.73 m²). It should also be avoided in individuals using other potassium-sparing medications or strong CYP3A4 inhibitors due to an increased risk of hyperkalemia.

Flagyl is indicated in the prophylaxis and treatment of infections in which anaerobic bacteria have been identified or are suspected to be the cause.
Flagyl is active against a wide range of pathogenic micro-organisms notably species of Bacteroides, Fusobacteria, Clostridia, Eubacteria, anaerobic cocci and Gardnerella vaginalis.

Montelukast should not be abruptly substituted for inhaled or oral corticosteroids.

Treatment with montelukast does not alter the need for patients with aspirin sensitive asthma to avoid taking aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Warning 2
Ceftazidime is eliminated via the kidneys, therefore the dosage should be reduced according to the degree of renal impairment. Neurological sequelae have occasionally been reported when the dose has not been reduced in patients with renal impairment .
Warning 3
Pseudomembranous colitis has been reported with the use of antibiotics and may range in severity from mild to life-threatening. Therefore, it is important to consider its diagnosis in patients who develop diarrhoea during or after antibiotic use.
